# DGR Race Pools

Each race, entry fees will be tallied, we extract an overall <mark style="color:blue;">10%</mark> participant/racing fee with the balance to then form the <mark style="color:blue;">prize pool.</mark>  See Participating/Racing fees section for more info.

Finishing percentages for all 8 gate races are as follows...

<mark style="color:purple;">**8 or 7 Starters - 1st 60% 2nd 25% 3rd 15%**</mark>

<mark style="color:purple;">**6 or 5 starters - 1st 70% and 2nd 30%**</mark>

<mark style="color:purple;">**4,3 or 2 starters it’s WTA**</mark>

<mark style="color:purple;">**Just one entrant race is abandoned and funds refunded**</mark>

Other races we run will see payouts of varying percentages across the field as a means for dog owners to explore their options and what best suits their chances of success.  \
